Located in the s/n Andres Avelino Cáceres Avenue, District of Moquegua, Province Marshal Nieto, Department of Moquegua.

The assembly of the C.T. Moquegua was made in 1998 , initiating its commercial operation in the month of September of 1998.

The Thermal power station is conformed by two generator sets CDK-PRAHA (SKODA), of Czechoslovakian manufacture, with an installed power of 503 kW each group, the produced energy is given through a transformer of power 4.6/10.2 kV, to electric power station Alto Zapata of Electrosur S.A., in a level of 10,2 voltage kV.

It was withdrawn from COES SINAC commercially since September 2004.
